That’s not really what happened. She voted no on an amendment which would have left intact that absolute river of weapons for Israel, but also would have cut off a grant which included among some other things some “defensive” weapons for civilian areas. And then she said some dumb stuff on Twitter about why she did that. The whole endeavor was always a waste of time, there was 0 material impact to anything, and I cannot see any non-malicious reason why it would among anyone who cares about Palestinians suddenly become a narrative which sticks to her so relentlessly, when she’s vigorous enough in promoting Palestinian causes that the sum total impact of not supporting her will be a measurable negative impact to Palestinians who do not need any more of those right now.
I mean everyone can think what they want, but I think the playbook of “This popular leftist politician betrayed all the leftist causes if you mischaracterize what actually happened! Everyone on the left stop supporting them please, they’re a bad leftist and so are you if you don’t stop supporting them!” is a pretty well established right-wing playbook at this point. I am generally pretty negative about anything that sounds like it, wherever it stems from.
