You know, scandinavia have largely stopped recidivism. People go in, they get treated like they’re human beings and in a good environment, and they go out and reintegrate to society. American prisons are torture chambers. They go in, they get treated like scum, and they come out harder than they went in, so they end up committing more crime and go back in. The cycle continues forever.
